Legal and privacy

Privacy Policy

A plain-language explanation of what the current Play the Point beta stores, what the developer receives, and what remains under your control.

Last updated: 24 July 2026 TestFlight beta

1. Who operates the app

Play the Point is currently operated by an independent developer based in Luxembourg.

Questions about this policy or privacy in the app can be sent to [email protected].

2. Accounts

No user account or registration is required in the current version of Play the Point. The current beta does not provide cloud profiles or account-based synchronisation.

3. Information stored locally

The app may store the following information locally on your device:

  • gameplay progress;
  • statistics;
  • settings and preferences;
  • recently played point-chain identifiers; and
  • Daily Puzzle state, where applicable.

This locally stored gameplay information remains on your device. The developer does not receive it from the app.

Deleting the app removes locally stored application data in accordance with the normal behaviour of iOS. The Reset Stats option inside the app may remove applicable progress, statistics, and recent-chain history without deleting the app.

4. Support communications

Sending beta feedback or contacting support is optional.

If you contact [email protected] or [email protected], the developer may receive:

  • your email address;
  • the contents of your message;
  • screenshots you attach;
  • device information you provide; and
  • any other information you voluntarily include.

This information is used only to answer your request, investigate a problem, improve the app, or meet legal obligations where applicable.

5. App Store Launch Notification Requests

Visitors may voluntarily ask to receive one notification when Play the Point becomes publicly available on the App Store by sending a pre-filled email request. When you send this request, the developer receives the email address you send it from and the contents of your message.

We will use that email address only to send one notification when the public App Store version launches. We will not add the address to an unrelated newsletter, use it for unrelated marketing, or sell it.

You may withdraw your request at any time by emailing [email protected]. We will delete the address after the launch notification has been sent, unless retention is legally required or you separately ask to receive future updates.

6. TestFlight and Apple

The beta is distributed using Apple TestFlight. Apple and TestFlight may independently process information related to beta invitations, installation, device compatibility, crashes, diagnostics, screenshots, and feedback.

Apple controls this processing under its own privacy policies and terms. Play the Point does not control Apple's systems or the information Apple independently collects through TestFlight and related services.

7. Advertising, analytics, and tracking

The current beta contains:

  • no advertising SDK;
  • no analytics SDK;
  • no cross-app tracking;
  • no personalised advertising; and
  • no App Tracking Transparency request.
Support email providers and Apple's TestFlight services may process information independently. For that reason, this policy does not claim that no information is processed anywhere.

8. Purchases

The current beta does not contain In-App Purchases. This policy will be reviewed and updated before advertising or purchase features are introduced publicly.

9. Children

Play the Point is not specifically directed to children. It is a general tennis strategy game for players, coaches, fans, and other tennis-interested users.

Parents or guardians can contact [email protected] with privacy concerns.

10. Data retention

Support correspondence is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, investigate problems, improve the app, or meet legal requirements.

You may request deletion of support correspondence by contacting [email protected]. Requests may be subject to legitimate legal or operational requirements.

11. Future changes

This policy will be revised before introducing features that materially change how information is handled, including:

  • advertisements;
  • In-App Purchases;
  • analytics;
  • accounts;
  • cloud synchronisation;
  • multiplayer;
  • leaderboards; or
  • backend services.

The updated policy will include a new revision date and describe any relevant choices available to users.
